From another thread....

Quote
I had such a good time at PC last week I am wondering if anyone would be up to go again in a week or so. Not as a main monthly event but just anyone local that might want to go out for a few hours.

So if April 2nd is not considered the MeetUp for April, is there another date/venue in mind?

So we have been doing them around the 3rd weekend, so maybe the 16th? Anyone have ideas on where we can go assuming the weather is good? It may be nice to venture out a bit if possible.

April is a month of weekends busy with VW events....well at least for me. Other than the 2nd or the weekend of the 23/24, my month is full.

April 3-VW NASA Race
April 10-Ranch Run
April 17-Kelley Park
April 30-Bug In

I pledge to make every MeetUp I can except for ones with conflicts. I will use the calendar feature on this site to list the VW events I have on my calendar. Probably sounds a bit selfish, but really it's just for the record.

Well looks like that's not going to work. I don't have the clearance to add events.

Greg -

You should now be able to add events to the calendar.

Guys- I am thinking if we plan the event later in the month we might catch some better weather.  My month of april is packed as well  so I might not be able to make the event whenever we plan it.  I was contemplating doing it on the 30th of april. Any conflicts? Any suggestions? I agree with Greg- it would be fun to do a trail ride somewhere. get out in the backcountry a little. don't get me wrong the OHV parks are great and will be an important part of spring and winter meets, but when the weather is better I think we should try and enjoy some of the awesome backcountry here in Norcal. Its hard to pick the date because I feel I am being a selfish since I arbitrarily pick a date that works with my calender but I am not sure how to pick one more democratically that is practical. I am open to suggestions as well.     Tag

I'm only free this weekend and the 16th, so I might have to sit this one out... No biggie, having a meet with the cars once a month is pretty good for a club like this. My 914 club only meets 2-3 times a year but, most of us are a little more spreadout though.

I say arbitrarily pick a date and we'll see what happens.  I'd really like to do some backcountry trail runs as well, and would try to make whatever date you pick work!  It seemed the 30th was mentioned in the email?

Yup. April 30th. I would love to do a back county trail as well. So everyone pull out your off road trails books and lets pick a good one.
